HIGH POINT, N.C. -- The Winthrop University baseball team fell to High Point with a final score of 11-3 on Saturday at Williard Stadium. Despite a three-run rally to tie it at three-all, Winthrop couldn't overcome High Point's 13-hit performance.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- High Point scored three runs. Kelly doubled, Oh hit an RBI double, and McCarter'ssingle brought in two more runs.
- Alan Benhardt walked, advanced on an error, and scored on Colin Crowley's sacrifice fly. Cade Norton singled, and Gabe Natividad doubled to drive in two unearned runs, making it 4-3, High Point. Oh homered, and Hammond singled in a run, extending High Point's lead to 6-3. Johnson's single drove in two runs, followed by a run on a passed ball and Hammond's sacrifice fly, making it 10-3.
- Allen's RBI single scored Oh, finalizing the score at 11-3.
