1. How did you hear about Winthrop and what made you choose to attend and become a member of the softball team?Â
My Canadian club team qualified for Alliance Nationals in Indiana. We played two teams with a committed Winthrop recruit on each team, and the former Winthrop coach watched both our games. She approached me at the tournament, and we discussed my plans for college. I wanted to continue playing softball after high school, was excited to come to warm, sunny South Carolina and the size of the University made it a great fit for me.

One of my favorite places to go after a game is Whit's ice cream.Â
5. You were a part of the 2025 Canadian national softball team. How did that come about and what are some of the things you can tell us about the experience? Â
Softball Canada hosted several ID camps across Canada, and I attended. I was invited to the selection camp in Ontario and invited to stay and train with the National Team as they prepared for various tournaments this past summer. I played with the National Team at the Canada Cup softball tournament in July in the International Women's Division. It was a great experience, and I was so grateful for the opportunity. I learned how to manage life and softball, what true hard work and determination is.
