- Set a program record for free throws made (335) and attempted in conference play (460), beating the old mark of 454 set in 2023-24
- With the win at PC, Prosser reached 50 regular season conference victories
- Prosser tied Russ Bergman of Coastal Carolina for the 3rd fastest to 50 league wins in Big South history, doing so in 74 games (Gregg Marshall was the quickest with 50 in 64 games)
- All-time the Eagles are 374-248 in regular season league games and the 374 wins are the most in Big South history
- Secured a .500 or better league mark for the 14th straight season (only one season of .500 during that stretch came in 2023-24 and this year guaranteed to finish above .500)
WINTHROP IN THE BIG SOUTH TOURNAMENT
- Eagles are seeded second for the 8th time in program history and hold an all-time record of 15-3 as the two seed
- It is the first time since 2021-22 and second time under Prosser the Eagles are the second seed
- Hold an all-time tournament record of 57-27 and 31-19 when playing on a neutral court
- The 57 wins are more than any other Big South program in tournament action
- Eagles have won their opening game of the tournament 10 of the last 12 seasons
- Winthrop appeared in its 13th Big South title game last year, which are the most by any conference member in league history

- Finished the regular season with a 74-70 win to for the 21st win on the season
- It is the second time under Prosser the Eagles reached at least 21 wins and it is the 13th time in program history
- The win over PC was the 11th straight home win
- Logan Duncomb was voted the Big South Conference Player of the Year, the 7th Eagle in program history to garner the award
- Prosser was named Co-Coach of the Year with High Point's Flynn Clayman
- It is the 6th time in program history Winthrop has taken home coach of the year honors
- Duncomb was named to the all-conference first team while Kareem Rozier was named to the second team and Kody Clouet earned all-conference honorable mention honors
- Face a Charleston Southern team that leads the league in three-point field goals per game (12.06) and third in scoring (83.52)
- Rozier and Clouet are 2nd and 3rd in the Big South in three-pointers per game
- They each have 86 made threes and became the first duo in program history with 80 or more threes in a single-season
- Duncomb posted his 12th double-double of the season in the loss at High Point with 23 points, 14 rebounds
- In the game he set the program's single-season record for free throws made and free throws attempted
- He broke the free throws made record of 171 that was set by Keon Johnson in 2016-17
- Duncomb has 241 free throw attempts on the year and broke Charles Brunson's single-season mark that was set in the 1980-81 season (235)
- In the trip to Clinton to take on PC, Duncomb scored a career-high 38 points, tied for the 3rd most points scored by an Eagle in a road contest
- On Feb. 12 the Eagles earned a 103-85 victory at Gardner-Webb
- It was the sixth 100-point game by the Eagles this year, matching the 2024-25 team that set the program record
- Eagles knocked down 18 threes in the win at Gardner-Webb, the third most in a single-game
- The 18 threes are the most by an Eagle team against an NCAA D1 opponent and the most in a road game
- Rozier hit nine of the threes in the game, the fourth most by an Eagle in a single-game
- Rozier posted a career-high 33 points, which is tied for the 6th most points by an Eagle in a league road game
- Winthrop's most recent game with 10 or more threes was at Charleston Southern Feb. 26
- The Eagles have now have 17 games with 10 or more threes, tied for the second-most by an Eagle team for a single-season
- Eagles are 45th in the nation in three-point field goals per game at 9.7
- The win over UNC Asheville on Jan. 31 was the 10th win at home this season, making it a run of 14 straight season with at least 10 home wins
- Duncomb was an impressive 18-for-19 at the free throw line in that win as the 18 free throws made tied the program's single-game record
- The win over Asheville gave the Eagles a perfect record (8-0) in the month of January
- Only the 2006-07 team had gone undefeated in the month of January in the history of the program
- Duncomb leads the Eagles in scoring at 18.4 ppg and rebounding at 9.0 rebounds per game
- He 1-of-2 players in the league ranked in the Top 5 of both scoring and rebounding
- Duncomb is averaged 21.3 ppg and 10.3 rpg in Big South play and becoming just the second Eagle in program history to average a double-double in league play
- The only other to do so is Greg Lewis in 2001-02 when he averaged 16.7 ppg and 11.6 rpg
- Duncomb is 1-of-4 Eagles averaging double-figures as Clouet is averaging 13.6 ppg, Rozier just behind him at 13.3 and Daylen Berry is back into double-figures at 10.2 after 34 points in the last two games
- Clouet has been in double-figures 14 of the last 15 games after his 19 points vs. PC
- Eagles had two comeback wins at home in league play, overcoming a 20-point deficit to defeat Gardner-Webb and nine point deficit against Charleston Southern
- The 20-point comeback was the largest comeback of the Mark Prosser Era and the largest in 18 seasons
- The last 20-point or more comeback was Feb. 24, 2009 when the Eagles trailed by 27 before earning a 57-52 victory over Charleston Southern
- The win was the 500th all-time for the Eagles, which includes all home venues throughout the program's beginning in 1978-79
- It was also the 450th inside the Winthrop Coliseum
- In the first home game this season, the Eagles exploded for 105 points and a 36-point victory over Mercer on Nov. 15
- The offense was powered by 11 threes and a 26-for-37 performance at the free throw line
- Winthrop forced 19 turnovers that led to 27 points and had 23 fast break points
- The 105 points are the second-most by a Winthrop team against a non-conference D1 opponent
- Voted to finish fifth in the Big South Conference preseason poll, one vote behind Radford (4th) and two votes behind Longwood (3rd)
- Berry was named to the Big South Preseason All-Conference First Team
- Berry is one of nine newcomers on the roster this season

- Mark Prosser starts his 5th season as head coach of the Eagles (7th head coach in program history) and holds an 99-61 record
- Prosser earned his 100th career win on Nov. 15, which also happened to be the program's 800th win all-time (Eagles won on a buzzer three)

25th ANNIVERSARY
This year celebrates the 25
th anniversary of the 2000-01 team that captured a third consecutive Big South Conference Title. The Eagles battled their way through the season to an 18-13 record. Preseason Player of the Year Greg Lewis was lost for the season after six games. The season opened with the Eagles challenging the 6
th-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels in a 66-61 loss on the road. Led by Gregg Marshall the Eagles won eight of nine games to capture the conference championship, including a 67-65 overtime win in the title game over top-seeded Radford. The Eagles reached the title game after a 67-62 overtime win over Liberty. Winthrop was sent to the play-in game in Dayton, Ohio as the Eagles fell 71-67 to Northwestern State.
