ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Princeton erupted for seven runs in the fourth inning as Tigers starter James Beasley held Winthrop to one run over seven innings to hand the Eagles a 10-3 loss Tuesday afternoon at Founders Field.

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- Beasley and Evan Vandenbosch traded zeroes through three innings before Princeton broke it open with seven in the fourthÂ
- Will Robbins doubled home the first run, a Vandenbosch fielding error scored another and Isaac Lamson's two-run single chased the Winthrop starterÂ
- Three Winthrop errors in the inning helped fuel the rally as the lead ballooned to 7-0Â
- Beasley scattered five hits over seven innings, working out of a bases-loaded jam in the sixth after a McGuire sacrifice fly cut it to 7-1Â
- Princeton tacked on two more in the eighth on a Koonin RBI single and a Robbins RBI groundoutÂ
- Hernandez homered to lead off the bottom of the eighth and Cade Norton added an RBI single to make it 9-3, but Winthrop left the bases loadedÂ
- Winthrop loaded the bases again in the ninth but Handzel grounded into a game-ending double playÂ
