WINTHROP IN BIG SOUTH
- This marks the 41st season in the Big South Conference for the Eagles
- Since the conference-opening loss at Longwood, the Eagles bounced back with 12 straight victories and sit a half game behind High Point in the league standings
- Winthrop has clinched one of the top two seeds for the Big South Tournament, sitting 12-1
- This is the second time the Eagles have been 12-1 in league play and the first in the Mark Prosser Era
- Improved to 7-0 at home in league play with a 68-64 win over Upstate on Feb. 19
- That win gave the Eagles their 12th straight win, tied for 6th best regular season conference win streak
- In their last road game, the Eagles knocked down 18 threes on their way to a 103-85 victory at Gardner-Webb
- The 18 threes were a program single-game record against a Big South opponent
- Have won 20 of the last 22 regular season conference games
- Averaging 80.2 ppg while allowing 72.8 ppg and have earned 77 more free throw attempts than opponents
- Ranked 2nd in the league for scoring offense on the season (84.4 ppg) and top the league in rebounding margin at +6.1 (six of the nine league schools have a positive rebound margin)
- For the second time this season, the Eagles made a go-ahead shot with two seconds remaining to defeat Radford on Feb. 4 (80-78)
- In the first meeting Kody Clouet buried a three with two seconds left for a one point victory
- Prior to the win at PC, the Eagles had back-to-back one possession games in which the Eagles came out on top in both
- With the win over PC, Prosser reached 50 regular season conference victories

WINTHROP
- Riding a season-best 12-game winning streak and longest since the 2020-21 season
- Winthrop extended the winning streak to 12 games after a 68-64 win over Upstate
- The win was also the team's 10th straight at home
- Logan Duncomb posted his 11th double-double of the season against Upstate with 24 points and a career-high 16 rebounds
- He was 8-for-10 at the free throw line and now has 170 made free throws on the year
- He is one free throw shy of tying the single-season mark of 171 set by Keon Johnson in 2016-17
- Duncomb has 233 free throw attempts on the year and is two shy of tying Charles Brunson's single-season mark that was set in the 1980-81 season
- In the last road game the Eagles earned a 103-85 victory at Gardner-Webb
- It was the sixth 100-point game by the Eagles this year, matching the 2024-25 team that set the program record
- Eagles knocked down 18 threes in the win at Gardner-Webb, the third most in a single-game
- The 18 threes are the most by an Eagle team against an NCAA D1 opponent and the most in a road game
- Kareem Rozier hit nine of the threes in the game, the fourth most by an Eagle in a single-game
- It was the 16th game with 10 or more which is the 3rd most in program history for a single-season
- Rozier posted a career-high 33 points, which is tied for the 6th most points by an Eagle in a league road game
- Duncomb posted his 10th double-double of the season as he scored 24 and tied a career-high in rebounds with 15
- He also had a career-high six assists against Gardner-Webb and now has 14 assists in the last three games
- The win over UNC Asheville on Jan. 31 was the 10th win at home this season, making it a run of 14 straight season with at least 10 home wins
- Duncomb continued his dominance in the win over the Bulldogs, posting a double-double with 26 points, 10 rebounds
- He was an impressive 18-for-19 at the free throw line, with the 18 free throws made tying the program's single-game record
- The win over Asheville gave the Eagles a perfect record (8-0) in the month of January
- Only the 2006-07 team had gone undefeated in the month of January in the history of the program
- In the win at PC, Duncomb scored a career-high 38 points and hauled in a career-best 15 rebounds for a double-double
- The 38 points tie for the third most points by an Eagle in a road game and are the 3rd most by an Eagle in a Big South road contest
- Eagles survived Radford at home on Jan. 21, 76-75, for a seventh straight win at home
- Eagles were tied for first at the time of the High Point matchup and Radford was a half game back in second place during that matchup
- In the win over UNC Asheville, the Eagles hit 13 threes (15th game with 10 or more)
- Rozier became the 22nd Eagle in program history to hit 70 or more threes in a single-season and now has 80 on the season which are the 8th most in a single-season
- Clouet became the 23rd Eagle in program history to hit 70 or more threes in a season
- Eagles are 42nd in the nation in three-point field goals per game at 9.8
- Duncomb leads the Eagles in scoring at 18.8 ppg and rebounding at 9.1 per game
- He 1-of-2 players in the league ranked in the Top 5 of both scoring and rebounding
- Recorded his 8th 20-point game of the season with 28 against High Point
- Duncomb is the first Eagle since Keon Johnson (2017) with a 30-point game and 20-point games over the first three games of conference play
- Duncomb is 1-of-4 Eagles averaging double-figures as Rozier is second at 13.6 ppg followed by Clouet (13.0) and Daylen Berry (10.0)
- Clouet has been in double-figures 11 of the last 12 games
- Eagles have had two comeback wins at home in league play, overcoming a 20-point deficit to defeat Gardner-Webb and nine point deficit against Charleston Southern
- The 20-point comeback was the largest comeback of the Mark Prosser Era and the largest in 18 seasons
- The last 20-point or more comeback was Feb. 24, 2009 when the Eagles trailed by 27 before earning a 57-52 victory over Charleston Southern
- The win was the 500th all-time for the Eagles, which includes all home venues throughout the program's beginning in 1978-79
- It was also the 450th inside the Winthrop Coliseum
- Suffered first double-digit loss of the season at #15 Texas Tech, but the Eagles secured a winning record in non-conference action for a third straight year
- The Eagles had four threes in the game, ending a streak of 10 or more in a game at five straight
- In the first home game this season, the Eagles exploded for 105 points and a 36-point victory over Mercer on Nov. 15
- The offense was powered by 11 threes and a 26-for-37 performance at the free throw line
- Winthrop forced 19 turnovers that led to 27 points and had 23 fast break points
- The 105 points are the second-most by a Winthrop team against a non-conference D1 opponent
- Three non-conference road games came down to the final seconds, as the previous road contest saw the Eagles win 94-92 in overtime at the buzzer
- Earned a road win in an overtime thriller at LIU in which Clouet's tip-in at the buzzer gave Winthrop a 94-92 victory
- On Dec. 18, the Eagles suffered a 90-88 loss in the final seconds at North Dakota
- The Fighting Hawks knocked down a three with .5 seconds left after the Eagles had just drilled a three by Daylen Berry for the lead
- Three non-conference road games came down to the final seconds, as the previous road contest saw the Eagles win 94-92 in overtime at the buzzer
- Voted to finish fifth in the Big South Conference preseason poll, one vote behind Radford (4th) and two votes behind Longwood (3rd)
- Berry was named to the Big South Preseason All-Conference First Team

25th ANNIVERSARY
This year celebrates the 25
th anniversary of the 2000-01 team that captured a third consecutive Big South Conference Title. The Eagles battled their way through the season to an 18-13 record. Preseason Player of the Year Greg Lewis was lost for the season after six games. The season opened with the Eagles challenging the 6
th-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels in a 66-61 loss on the road. Led by Gregg Marshall the Eagles won eight of nine games to capture the conference championship, including a 67-65 overtime win in the title game over top-seeded Radford. The Eagles reached the title game after a 67-62 overtime win over Liberty. Winthrop was sent to the play-in game in Dayton, Ohio as the Eagles fell 71-67 to Northwestern State.
