ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Winthrop University lacrosse senior defender
Lily Davis secured her first Big South Defensive Player of the Week honors, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Davis marks the first time that a Winthrop athlete to earn defensive player of the week since Kelsey Johnson in 2022.
Davis scooped up a career-high eight ground balls, tied for the second-most in a single game in Winthrop history, also causing three turnovers and scoring her first career goal off a caused turnover.
