  • Eagles got on the board in their half of the inning on Josh Skowronski's fielder's choice

  • A four-run second put Winthrop in the lead, 5-4
  • Koby Kropf's two-out double down the right field line scored Natividad to nose the Eagles out in front
  • Three more runs came in to score in the next inning to give Winthrop a four-run edge
  • High Point answered with eight runs in the next two inning to take a 12-8 lead at the end of the fifth
  • Natividad's first pitch, leadoff home run to left field cut it to three in the bottom of the sixth
  • It then became a one-run game in the seventh on E. Wilson's RBI double down the left field line with one out and Liam McCallum's RBI single to center field with two outs two plays later
  • But the Panthers got a run back in the top of the eighth on an error with two outs
