Charlotte, N.C. - Winthrop lacrosse had four players named to the 2025 Big South All-Conference teams, the league announced Thursday afternoon. Scarlet Cifarelli, Madison Mayer, Lily Davis and Tori Iannotti were honored.
 
Cifarelli was named second team after being a major force on the offensive side of the ball, as she scored in every contest. She started and played in all 17 games, and led the team in goals (42), assists (29), points (71), shots (88) and shots on goal (69). She was also second on the team in free position goals (7). The junior attacker finished fifth in the conference in assists per game with 1.71, seventh in points per game with 4.18 and 10^th in goals per game with 2.47. Against FDU on Mar. 8 at home, Cifarelli's fifth and sixth goals of the game put the Eagles ahead for good 11-9 with five minutes left, securing Winthrop's first win of the season. Against Radford at home on Mar. 26, Cifarelli got her 50^th career goal and in the next game at High Point on Mar. 29 recorded her 100^th career point. One week later against Presbyterian on Mar. 5 on Senior Day, Cifarelli recorded her first man-down goal as an Eagle and got her 50^th career assist.

Mayer also named second team in being Winthrop's top defender. This is her second straight all-conference honor. Mayer played and started in all 17 games. The sophomore midfielder led the team in draw controls (68), surpassing her own record in that category. She finished ninth in the conference in draw controls per game with 4.00. Against Merrimack at home on Mar. 15, Mayer capped off an eight-point, second-half deficit by scoring with 48 seconds left in overtime to give the Eagles their second straight victory. At High Point on Mar. 29, she went over the 100^th career draw control mark.

Davis was named honorable mention after a season in which she finished ninth in the conference in caused turnovers per game with 1.29. The junior defender finished the year with 18 groundballs, 22 caused turnovers, and a pair of draw controls. Her 22 caused turnovers led the team.

Iannotti was named to the all-academic team after a season in which she played and started in all 17 games. The junior attacker was third on the team in goals (29), points (37), shots (62), shots on goal (52), and draw controls (48). Against Merrimack at home on Mar. 15, Iannotti went over the 50-career draw control mark.
 
For the Eagles, this was the first time since 2022 that a player was named second team as well as having four all-conference honorees.
 
This was also the first time that Cifarelli, Davis and Iannotti have garnered an all-conference honor.
