HOW IT HAPPENED

• Eagles took a 2-0 lead in the first on Hernandez's RBI double to left center field with no one out and Chronis's sac bunt
• Gardner-Webb put runners on second and third in the top of the second but the next two batters were retired
• Winthrop extended their margin to 6-0 on Chronis's two-run RBI double to left field and Skowronski's two-run homer to right field
• Both plays occurred with two outs
• The visitors then got on the board in the top of the fifth on Kennell's sac fly to right field and Capozzi's RBI single to left field on the next play
• Winthrop put runners on second and third in the bottom of the frame but couldn't capitalize as a strikeout ended the threat
• Neither team threatened after that
