HOW IT HAPPENED
- California scored the first four goals and would lead 7-2 at the end of the first quarter
- Winthrop then scored six of the next eight goals to trim the deficit to 9-8 at the half
- Ava-Claire Collins and Warren each scored twice in the frame
- Tori Iannotti's goal tied things up at 9-9 at the 9:09 mark of the third period
- But it was all California after that, as the Golden Bears outscored the Eagles 11-2 to end the game
