- The Eagles have won the first two meetings, including the last one on Dec. 29, 2023 with a 113-62 victory
- Winthrop has won 64 straight meetings with Non-D1 opponents and have an all-time record of 108-8

- Coming off an 88-84 loss to Coastal Carolina in the final seconds
- Logan Duncomb posted his second career double-double with 16 points and a career-high 12 rebounds
- Eagles won back-to-back games prior to the Coastal loss as they earned a road win in an overtime thriller at LIU in which Kody Clouet's tip-in at the buzzer gave Winthrop a 94-92 victory
- Duncomb scored a career-high 28 points and Daylen Berry had 21 points in the win
- It is the second time this season both have scored 20 or more in the same game with the first time coming against Coastal Carolina on Nov. 11
- In the previous home game the Eagles won 101-79 over South Carolina State as the Eagles dished out a season-high 23 assists
- Clouet led the Eagles with 21 points (5 threes) and is 1-of-4 Eagles averaging double-figures (11.7)
- Winthrop connected on 12 threes and hit the century mark for the second time at home this season and for the third straight game at the Winthrop Coliseum dating back to last season
- Prior to the S.C. State home game the Eagles had played 6-of-7 games on the road and the LIU game makes it a stretch of 7-of-9 games on the road this season
- The Eagles have four road losses by a combined total of 20 points (average loss of 5.0) against opponents with a combined record of 30-7
- In the loss to the Huskers the Eagles connected on 13 threes, the fourth consecutive game with 11 or more
- Eagles are 34th in the nation in three-point field goals per game at 10.6
- Winthrop has hit 10 or more threes in six of the last seven games and 11 of the last 15 going back to last season
- Picked up the first road win of the season with an 80-62 victory at Jackson State Sunday night
- In the win, the Eagles dished out 20 assists with Clouet leading the way with five
- The win followed a one point loss at 21st-ranked Arkansas on the road
- In the loss to the Razorbacks the Eagles knocked down 15 threes and followed that up with 11 threes at Jackson State
- Kareem Rozier led the Eagles with a career-high 23 points at Arkansas and also connected on a career-best seven threes
- Duncomb (14.7) leads the Eagles in scoring followed closely by Rozier (14.6) and Daylen Berry (13.3)
- In their first home game this season, the Eagles exploded for 105 points and a 36-point victory over Mercer on Nov. 15
- The offense was powered by 11 threes and a 26-for-37 performance at the free throw line
- Winthrop forced 19 turnovers that led to 27 points and had 23 fast break points
- The 105 points are the second-most by a Winthrop team against a non-conference D1 opponent
- Opened the season with an 81-74 win over Queens at the Field of 68 Opening Day Marathon
- In the loss to Coastal, Duncomb posted career-highs in points (21) and rebounds (10) for his first collegiate double-double
- Berry also reached 20 points in the game, his second game this season with 20 or more points
- In the George Mason game, Berry and Josh Meo scored a team-high 17 points at George Mason and Logan Duncomb added 16 points
- In the win over Queens, Berry led all scorers with 23 points while Logan Duncomb threatened a double-double with 12 points and eight boards
- It was the second straight year the Eagles opened the season with a win
- Eagles hold an all-time record of 140-150 in the month of December
- Voted to finish fifth in the Big South Conference preseason poll, one vote behind Radford (4th) and two votes behind Longwood (3rd)
- Berry was named to the Big South Preseason All-Conference First Team

- Mark Prosser starts his 5th season as head coach of the Eagles (7th head coach in program history) and holds a 83-57 record over the first four seasons
- Prosser earned his 100th career win on Nov. 15, which also happened to be the program's 800th win all-time (Eagles won on a buzzer three)
- Prosser is coaching in his 259th career game and 231st at the NCAA D1 level
- Led the team to 23 wins, the most by a first-year head coach in program history and another 23-win season in 2024-25
- Prosser tied Towson State's Terry Traux (1992-93) for the most conference wins by a first-year coach with 14

- Eagles are coming off the program's 19th Big South Conference Championship Game appearance as they fell 81-69 to top-seeded High Point
- Earned 23 wins for the second time under Prosser and for the 5th in program history

- Posted an 11-5 league mark to tie UNC Asheville for second place in the Big South standings

- The scoring average broke the previous record of 83.6 held by the 1992-93 team

25th ANNIVERSARY
This year celebrates the 25
th anniversary of the 2000-01 team that captured a third consecutive Big South Conference Title. The Eagles battled their way through the season to an 18-13 record. Preseason Player of the Year Greg Lewis was lost for the season after six games. The season opened with the Eagles challenging the 6
th-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels in a 66-61 loss on the road. Led by Gregg Marshall the Eagles won eight of nine games to capture the conference championship, including a 67-65 overtime win in the title game over top-seeded Radford. The Eagles reached the title game after a 67-62 overtime win over Liberty. Winthrop was sent to the play-in game in Dayton, Ohio as the Eagles fell 71-67 to Northwestern State.
