ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Riding high on their conference hot streak, the Winthrop University volleyball team took their eight straight match, doing so in four sets against UNC Asheville on Friday, also marking their tenth conference win.

Set 1
- McCollum's ace and a Jolley kill gave Winthrop the first real separation at 6-4.
- Matthews served through a run to 18-10, with Jolley and Bennett both finding space in transition.
- Sychterz and Glover handled key kills to hold the lead late.
- Little finished from McCollum to close out a .421 hitting clip.
Set 2
- The Eagles opened 4-1 behind kills from Bennett, Jolley, and McCollum.
- Asheville's serve took over, Thao and Djurovic combined for a long pressure stretch to swing it 19-11.
- Bennett and Little helped chip it back to 23-19.
- A Schwieger ace ended the frame for the Bulldogs.

- Back-and-forth throughout, neither side leading by more than two before 20–20.
- A Torain and McCollum block pushed Winthrop ahead 21-20.
- Asheville tied it at 24-24 after trading side-outs.
- Jolley delivered the last two kills to secure the set, 26-24.
Set 4
- Jolley's ace and steady side-out rhythm set the tone for a 7–5 start.
- Torain's serve created separation as the lead extended near the midway point.
- Sychterz's block and the Glover and Sychterz roof pushed it to match point.
- Asheville's final attack went into the netting, sealing 25-17 and the 3-1 win.
