Game Recap
  • Both teams were getting forward in the early going but it was Terriers who struck first
  • In the 16th minute, Ines Obradovac dribbled her way into the box and got a shot off as Mia Vrataric made the diving save to her right but the rebound went right to Megan Childress at the back post and she redirected the ball into the open net
  • Eagles tried to answer in the 19th minute as Ally Bender received a pass from out wide as she reached the top of the box and then fired a shot headed for the top left corner but Wofford keeper Elizabeth Navola made a diving save to tip the ball over the bar
  • In the 35th minute the Eagles found the equalizer as they forced a turnover near midfield and Monssi Avila-Gutierrez collected the loose ball
  • Avila-Gutierrez started to dribble in transition and slipped a pass into space to Sophia Balliet as she ran on, dribbled toward goal and after crossing into the area she beat the keeper over the head into the left corner
  • Mia Vrataric kept the game tied in the 36th minute as a Wofford player ran free at the back post on a cross but Vrataric closed the game and turned away the shot for a corner
  • Wofford grabbed a lead just before the half as a cross on the ground made its way through traffic as Katherine Elliott was left unmarked as she struck a shot first time beating Vrataric with a low shot
  • In the 54th minute, the Terriers took a 3-1 lead
  • Wofford's Caileen Almeida received a pass in the middle of the field and as she dribbled to draw in defenders she passed the ball to her left into the box as Obradovac ran on and struck a shot into the left corner
  • Reagan Goodwyn had a good service in the 57th minute as it found the head of Avila-Gutierrez who directed a shot on goal that was saved by Navola as she made a jumping save
  • Jessica Gengler's corner in the 58th minute found Delaney Pearson at the back post as she headed the ball down and on frame but it was stopped at the line by a defender and Wofford was able to clear
  • Evyn Schokora let a shot fly from about 25-30 yards out headed toward the lower left corner but Novola was there for a diving save in the 63rd minute
  • In the 78th minute, Gengler's free kick from 30 yards out pinged off the crossbar and the Terriers cleared the ball
