Ian Faulconer,
Nick Mayfield and Ian Tucker received national recognition as each were named 2023-24 NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars.
Faulconer was named for the second straight year as he was also named to the Big South Conference All-Academic Team. This is the first time receiving the honor for Mayfield and Tucker.
On the season Faulconer played in nine events including the NCAA Rancho Santa Fe Regional as he finished with a collegiate-best scoring average of 74.87. He also posted his collegiate-low round of 68 on day one of the Dorado Beach Collegiate. Faulconer graduated in 2023 with a degree in business and is currently working on his MBA.
Mayfield, who earned Big South All-Conference honors, played in all 10 events and was second on the team in scoring average (73.03). Mayfield tied for first in stroke play of the conference championship to help the Eagles reach the match play portion of the championship. He graduated this past spring with a degree in sport management.
Tucker, who also earned Big South All-Conference honors, played in all 10 events and had a team-best 72.83 scoring average. During the season Tucker tied for first at the Wexford Intercollegiate. Tucker is working on a degree in human resources management.
This is the sixth year in a role that the Eagles have had multiple players receive the honor.
