Rock Hill, S.C. - The Winthrop Lacrosse program has been named a 2024 Academic Honor Squad, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association announced Wednesday afternoon. Additionally, Jordan Ball, Ellie Dutton, Charlese Greco, Lexi Johnson, Grayson McKenzie and Cassie Nalepa were honored as Division I Honor Roll performers.
 
In order to qualify as an academic honor squad, the team must have a 3.2 or higher grade point average for the academic year. On the individual side, the honorees must be eligible juniors, seniors, and graduate students who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
 
Dutton was named to the Big South Conference All-Academic team after a season in which she played and started in all 15 games she participated in. She had a season-high six shots on goal and five goals vs. UMass-Lowell on Mar. 3. Dutton led the team in goals (27), points (39), free position goals (12), and free position shots (14).
 
Johnson also played and started in all 15 games. Against Stonehill (3/6), she had a season-high six shots on goal, four caused turnovers and four ground balls. Against Wofford (4/10), she had a season-high four goals and won a season-high six draw controls vs. Furman (4/13).
