Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop dropped the series finale to USC Upstate on Sunday afternoon by a final score of 4-0. Winthrop moves to 12-17-1 overall and 4-5 in the Big South.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Noah Sullivan's RBI single to left field brought in Daniel Gernon, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead to start the contest.
- In the next inning, the Spartans had Easton Cullison on third with two outs after an error but Troy Hamilton struck out to end the top of the second on the next play.
- In the third, Upstate extended their margin to 2-0 on Koby Kropf's RBI single to left field, driving in Jace Rinehart with two outs.
- Upstate loaded the bases with no one out in the fifth and added two more runs to their total on Vance Sheahan's RBI single to center field.
- Neither team seriously threatened for the remainder of the game.
