Rock Hill, S.C. – Former Winthrop men's golfer Taylor Dickson captured his first Korn Ferry Tour title on Sunday, Mar. 10 at the Astara Chile Classic presented by Scotiabank. The event took place at the Prince of Wales Country Club in Santiago, Chile.
Dickson was a member of the Winthrop men's golf team from 2011-15, where he competed in 37 events and had two wins in his collegiate career.
"Really excited and happy for Taylor!" said Winthrop head men's golf coach
Kevin Pendley, who coached Dickson. "He's put in a lot of work to get to this point. I have always said that when he gets comfortable where he is at, he takes off and he is doing that on the Korn Ferry the last two years. He did it in junior golf, college/amateur golf, mini tours, and now Korn Ferry. He has gotten better each year and you see it in the consistency. He was so close to getting his PGA Tour card last year and now has set himself up to achieve that this season. Just really happy for him and excited to see what's next!! Would not surprise me at all to see him win again soon!"
