Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop's Dylan Park was named the Big South Conference Freshman of the Week, announced by the league office Thursday afternoon.

In arguably the toughest field the Eagles have faced all season, Park finished T44. After an opening round 69 (3-under), he continued to battle as the course played tougher each round. Posted a three-over 75 in the second round and shot a final round 74 to finished at 2-over (218) for the event. The three-under round tied for his third-lowest 18 holes on the year and was his 11^th round of par or better. He led the team in Par 3 scoring (+2).

This is the fifth time this year that Park has claimed the league's freshman of the week honors. He is the first golfer in the conference to garner the honor five times since Brandon Einstein did so in 2018-19. Since the honor began in the 2013-14, Park is one of only three golfers to earn this weekly honor five or more times.
