Rock Hill, S.C. – The 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District men's soccer teams were announced as Winthrop had two players receive recognition.

Seniors Diego Candia and Bruno Riveron Sagrero were named to the CSC Academic All-District teams. In order to be selected, honorees must have at least a cumulative 3.50 GPA and had to have participated in 90 percent of the team's contests or have started at least 66 percent of the games.

Candia, a 2024 Big South All-Academic Team selection, was also the 2024 Big South Conference Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. He started as a defender in all 15 games he played in. Candia is also a 2023 Big South All-Conference selection.
Riveron Sagrero started 12 of the 15 games he played in and was tied for 3^rd on the team in scoring. Riveron Sagrero tied for the team-lead in total assists with three.
