Game Recap
- Eagles struck late in the first half to grab the lead at the break as Ryan Armijo's header found its way back to Ethan Marks at the back post as he headed it past Charlie Farrar
- Marks looked to give the Eagles a two goal lead early in the second half as he fired a shot to the lower left corner but Farrar made the save
- Ricardo Ferreria had a good look in the 78th minute but the shot toward the lower left corner was deflected wide by a defender leading to a corner
- Off the corner, Ricardo Ferreira served the ball to Rodrigo Ferreira straight on from goal about 25 yards out
- Rodrigo Ferreria collected the pass, dribbled to his right and then laced a shot into the top left corner for a 2-0 advantage with 12:40 to play
- In the 73rd minute Andres Manzano Garcia had a big save as he closed in on Charlie Wood dribbling toward goal and turned away the shot to keep the slate clean

- Asheville had a 13-9 advantage in total shots while Winthrop had a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal
- The shutout for Andres Manzano Garcia was the first of his collegiate career
- This is the third time that Ricardo Ferreria and Rodrigo Ferreira have connected on a goal for the Eagles
