Game Recap
- Blue Hose struck early as Abby Ferris set up Sloan Spees for the goal in the 9th minute
- PC had a chance to double its lead as Gwen Keiser put a shot on frame, but Mia Vrataric was there for the save
- In the 39th minute, Monssi Avila-Gutierrez put a shot on goal trying to tie the match before the half but it was saved by Kelly Hall
- Eagles had another chance before half in the 44th minute as Evyn Schokora put a shot on frame but Hall was there for the save again as PC led 1-0 at the break
- Winthrop applied some offensive pressure in the early going of the second half as it earned a corner just 90 seconds in
- In the 50th minute Sophia Balliet looked for the tying goal but her shot on goal was saved by Hall
- Balliet had another chance in the 65th minute but Hall was in position for the save
- PC added its second goal in the 72nd minute as Gwen Keiser place a shot into the upper half of the goal
- Avila-Gutierrez tried to get the Eagles right back in it 16 seconds later as she fired a shot to the lower right corner but it was saved by Hall
- The Winthrop pressure finally paid off in the 76th minute as Evyn Schokora found the back of the net off a pass from Kylie Full
- Eagles found the equalizer in the 90th minute as Schokora netted her first collegiate goal, which was set up by Jessica Gengler
Notables
- PC had a 12-11 edge in total shots while the Eagles had a 9-8 edge in shots on goal
- Mia Vrataric made six saves in the game while PC's Hall had seven saves
- Evyn Schokora had the first multiple goal game by an Eagle since Abbie McRae hda two in a 7-2 victory over S.C. State on Sept. 2, 2023
- It's the first time a freshman had multiple goals in a game since Sophia Balliet on Aug. 30, 2023 in a 9-0 win over Southern Wesleyan
- Schokora becomes the 7th different goal scorer for the Eagles this season
