Rock Hill, S.C. – The Winthrop Women's Lacrosse program has begun their fall ball season, and has released their scrimmage schedule. The Eagles will head to Coastal Carolina, Duke University, and will also be hosting a play day at Winthrop.
 
The Eagles will travel to Coastal Carolina on Friday, October 7 for three scrimmages. Winthrop will face the host Chanticleers at 8:00 a.m., Big South rival and defending conference champion Mercer at 9:15 a.m., and finish with former Big South member Campbell at 1:00 p.m.
 
Winthrop will host a Family, Friends and Alumni Day two weeks later on Saturday, October 21 and will then host Big South rival Furman, Davidson and Mercer again the following day. The Eagles will play the Paladins at 10:00 a.m., the Wildcats at 11:00am, and the Bears at 12:30 p.m.  
 
The Eagles round out their fall schedule by traveling to Durham, N.C. on the campus of Duke University for the Duke Fall Ball Invitational on Saturday, October 28. The schedule for this tournament will later be announced by the Blue Devils. It will be a tournament style with a four- game guaranteed bracket.
