Game Recap
- The best chances offensively in the first half came from Coastal Carolina as Deryn Armstrong had a free look inside the box from an angle but Sam Bell got down for the save
- Bell made another save close range as Christian Cook hit a shot first time off a cross from about eight yards away and Bell turned it away
- In the 70th minute the Eagles found the back of the net, but it was called back for offside
- Grayson collected a loose ball out wide and played a pass to Rodrigo Ferreira, who curled a shot toward the lower left corner that was saved and Ricardo Ferreira was there to tap home the rebound but it didn't count as he was whistled offside
- Ricardo Ferreira would not be denied as he found the back of the net in the 82nd minute when he took a pass from Nick Guido and after a couple of touches curled a shot from outside the box into the top right corner off the crossbar and in
- Minutes later Ferreira doubled the lead as he took a pass off a free kick from his brother Rodrigo Ferreira and on his second touch blasted a shot into the lower left corner from the spot

- Coastal Carolina had a 15-8 advantage in shots while shots on goal were even at five apiece
- This was the first win over Coastal Carolina on the road since the Eagles 4-3 double-overtime victory in the 2008 Big South Conference title game
- It is the first time the Eagles have shutout Coastal Carolina in Conway since Oct. 22, 1991 in a 1-0 victory
