RADFORD, Va. – Winthrop swept the three-game series with Radford on the road by a final score of 13-5. The Eagles move their record to 24-22 overall and 12-9 in Big South play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Winthrop took a 2-0 lead to begin the afternoon when Brody Hopkins came home on a wild pitch and Nicholas Badillo doubled to score Ricky Teel.
- Radford tied it on an RBI single in their half of the first.
- The Eagles went back in front in the second when Hopkins doubled, scoring Nate Chronis all the way from first.
- Radford cut the lead to one in the bottom of the third on an RBI single and a wild pitch.
- The home team then tied it at five in the next inning on a fielder's choice.
- Winthrop took a 7-5 lead in the top of the fifth on Ramses Cordova's RBI single and Jonathan Strauss coming home on a wild pitch.
- The Eagles scored six runs combined in the fifth and sixth innings.
- With the Eagles at bat in the top of the ninth, the game was called on the account of inclement weather.
