ROCK HILL, S.C. – Winthrop fell to High Point at home in the second of a three-game series with the Panthers by a final score of 6-1. The Eagles move to 25-24 overall and 13-10 in the Big South.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Brody Hopkins picked up right where he left off from yesterday's game by hitting a deep shot to right center field on Winthrop's first at-bat of the day.
• High Point took a 2-1 lead in the top of the fourth on an RBI single and a balk.
• The Panthers then hit a solo home run in the top of the sixth to go up two.
• The visitors scored three more runs in the next inning to lead 6-1 and thus wrapped up the scoring on the afternoon.
