ROCK HILL, S.C. – Winthrop fell to Campbell at home by a final score of 16-7 on Saturday afternoon, moving to 3-11 overall and 0-7 in Big South play. This marked the final ever Big South matchup between the two teams.  
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Campbell scored the first four goals but Grayson McKenzie scored on the man-up with 2:30 left in the first quarter to get Winthrop's first tally.
• The visitors responded with two more goals but Molly Dankowski put the ball in the back of the net five minutes into the second quarter to make the score 6-2
• Campbell scored seconds later but Scarlet Cifarelli answered quickly to pull the Eagles back to within four.
• The Camels then scored four straight goals to lead 11-3 at the half.
• Claire Witmer notched her first goal of the game at the 11:43 mark of the third quarter, resulting in Winthrop getting on the board first to begin the second half.
• After another Camel score, Cifarelli made it 12-5 with eight minutes left in the frame.
• Four more goals by Campbell gave them a late 16-5 lead but Dankowski and Olivia Paton scored the final two goals of the afternoon.
