Rock Hill, S.C. – Coming off a 56-49 victory over San Jose State on the second and final day of the California Berkeley Tournament last Saturday afternoon, Winthrop women's basketball (4-3, 0-0 Big South) hosts UNCW on Wednesday night to kick off a four-game home stand.

SERIES HISTORY VERSUS UNC-WILMINGTON
This is the seventh meeting between the Eagles and the Seahawks with the series tied at three. UNCW won the most recent meeting 79-61 on Dec. 1, 2022 on their home court and has won the last two meetings. Winthrop's last win in the series was on Dec. 17, 2019, a 75-63 margin on the road. This will be the third meeting between the two teams in Rock Hill. Winthrop is seeking their first ever victory over the Seahawks in the friendly confines of Winthrop Coliseum. The first meeting between the two teams was on Jan. 3, 1996 in Wilmington with the Eagles winning 62-56 on the way to winning the first two meetings. UNCW went 5-25 (2-16 CAA) in 2022-23.
