Rock Hill, S.C. – Maelle Dreyer and Constance Mendonca each garnered Big South Conference weekly honors, the league announced Thursday afternoon.
Dreyer was named the Big South Golfer of the Week after her T1 finish at the Eagle Classic earlier this week. Dreyer shot a collegiate-low 70 (2-under) in the final round, moving her into co-medalist honors with Melissa Ball of Eckerd College.
This was Dreyer's first medalist honors as her previous best finish was 8
th at the Cancho River Classic Sept. 19-20, 2022.
Mendonca fired her best round of the tournament on the final day with a 2-over 74, tying her collegiate-best round.
Dreyer is the first Eagle to get Big South Women's Golfer of the Week honors since
Sarah Funderburg on Feb. 18, 2020. It is also the first Big South Freshman of the Week honors since teammate
Emily Baker earned the honor Oct. 20, 2022.
