Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop junior midfielder
Emma Smith has been tabbed as the Big South Conference Co-Attacking Player of the Week, announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Smith shared the weekly honor with High Point's Skyler Shults. Smith posted a goal and an assist in the 2-1 win over Gardner-Webb last Wednesday. Smith set up
Annabel Thomas for the first game of the match and with the game tied 1-1, Thomas found Smith for the game-winning goal.
This is the second weekly honor for Smith as she was named the Big South Freshman of the Week in 2021. It is also the second time this season the Eagles nabbed the recognition as
Bryn Radvanski did so on Sept. 5.
