Game Recap
- Eagles were close to grabbing the first lead of the match in the 28th minute off a corner
- Marianella Gillum's corner service curled near post and bounced into the post out from goal to Sadie Guest who then put a header toward goal that was just wide left
- The Lancers took the lead just before the half as Alayna Palamar played a pass to the middle to Hailey Baltzelle, who dribbled just outside the box and fired a shot toward the upper portion of the goal
- Izzy Giarrizzi leaped to make a diving save and was able to get part of her hand on the ball but it snuck under the bar into the net
- Longwood doubled its lead at 2-0 in the 51st minute when Victoria Drake stole the ball away and then slipped a pass to Julia Gill who ripped a shot past Giarrizzi to the right corner
- The Eagles broke through in the 85th minute when a penalty was awarded as Annabel Thomas stepped in and drilled a shot toward the top left corner for the goal
