Rock Hill, S.C. – Coming off twin sweeps of USC Upstate and UNC Asheville last week, Winthrop Volleyball (7-11, 6-1 Big South) hosts Presbyterian and Charleston Southern to conclude a season-high four matches in a row in Rock Hill.

SERIES HISTORY VERSUS PRESBYTERIAN
This will be the 44^th meeting between the programs, with Winthrop leading the series 33-10 and has won 10 of the last 11 meetings between the two schools. The first meeting was on Oct. 13, 1976, with the Eagles winning 2-0 on the way to taking the first nine and 15 of the first 18 matchups in the series. The Eagles defeated the Blue Hose on Oct. 7 by a final score of 3-2 in Clinton.
 
SERIES HISTORY VERSUS CHARLESTON SOUTHERN
This will be the 92^nd meeting between the programs, with Winthrop leading the series 72-19 and have won the last five matchups. The first meeting was in 1980 with Winthrop winning 2-0 on the way to capturing the first seven and 14 of the first 15 matchups in the series. Winthrop's longest win streak in the series was 31 straight matches from Oct. 28, 1995 to Oct. 20, 2009. The Eagles defeated the Buccaneers on Oct. 6 by a final score of 3-2 in Charleston.
 
LAST TIME OUT

• The Eagles hosted USC Upstate on Friday and UNC Asheville the next day.
• Winthrop swept USC Upstate by a final score of 3-0, giving the Eagles a second straight win against a team in the Top 4 of the Big South standings while a sweep of UNC Asheville secured Winthrop's fifth straight victory.
• The Eagles have won a season-high five matches in a row and are currently 4-2 in the friendly confines of the Winthrop Coliseum
• With the twin sweeps of the Spartans and the Bulldogs, Winthrop moves into sole possession of second place in the Big South Conference.
• Riley Oglevie surpassed 100 career blocks while Brookelynn Thomas surpassed 200 career blocks.

PROMOTIONAL NIGHT
The Eagles' matches this weekend will feature a Souvenir Cup Giveaway vs. Presbyterian while the Charleston Southern match will be the Canned Food Drive Match. Fans who bring one can get into the match at free admission.
 
In addition, the Charleston Southern match will feature a handful of alumni and will be honored in between sets. The alums in attendance will be Kelley (Taylor) Nugent, Kelsey (Hall) Adams, Sara (Felts) Karker, Brittany (Blackman) Greer and Kaley (Viola) Vogel.
