Game Recap

  • In the 27th minute, the Eagles won the ball at midfield and Annabel Thomas received a pass in the middle of the field
  • Thomas dribbled with speed into space down the middle and as she approached the top of the 18, cut to her left to beat a defender and fired a left footed shot that was saved by a diving Lexi Radvanyi
  • The only save of the first half for Izzy Giarrizzi came in the 37th minute when Katelyn O'Donnell received a pass and fired a shot around the top of the 18 that was pushed wide by a diving save
  • Radford opened the scoring in the 56th minute when Eileen Albers headed home a Jillian Silverstone corner
  • In the 67th minute the Eagles nearly got on the board as Ally Bender dribbled her way through the middle of the field, played a ball wide to Parris who connected with Thomas into the box as she fired a shot toward the top right corner that was just tipped over the bar
  • The second goal for Radford came off a corner kick as well in the 73rd minute
  • The Eagles were unable to clear the ball as Helena Wilson fired a shot on goal that was blocked by a defender but the rebound went right to Kayla Edwards who ripped a shot through two Winthrop defenders for a 2-0 advantage
