Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop men's golf made a clean sweep of the Big South Conference weekly honors as
Nick Mayfield and
Mason Tucker were named Co-Golfers of the Week and
Logan Lutz earned Freshman of the Week honors.
Mayfield, Tucker and Lutz all three finished T14 at the Carolina Cup. Lutz fired a final round 71 (-1) to move up into T14. Mayfield led the Eagles in Par 3 scoring, Tucker led in Par 4 and Lutz led the way in Par 5 scoring. Tucker and Lutz finished with a team-high 10 birdies.
This is the second conference weekly honor for Mayfield, the first for Tucker and the second straight week for Lutz. It is the first time since Oct, 25, 2013 the Eagles have claimed both honors on the same date. That year Taylor Dickson was the Golfer of the Week and Zach Seabolt was the Freshman of the Week.
