- Panthers struck first in the 17th minute as Tristan Jurneau set up Justin Mclean for the goal
- Nako Amare tried to tie the game in the 21st minute but his shot was low and down the middle as Gunther Rankenburg collected the ball for the save
- Georgia State went up 2-0 in the 32nd minute on a goal by Max Wilkins
- Stefan Sildor tried to get the Eagles on the board in the 37th minute but his shot was right at Rankenburg
- The Panthers netted three goals in the final 22 minutes to open up the game
- Nick Guido spoiled the shutout in the 89th minute as he fired a shot past Josh Hangi, who played the final 16:45 of the match
