- Bears grabbed an early lead after being awarded a penalty in the 8th minute as Dylan Gaither converted
- Eagles tied the match before halftime with an own goal in the 40th minute
- Bears regained the lead in the 50th minute when Gaither set up Kadeem Argard for a goal
- Winthrop didn't take long to respond as it tied the match in the 55th minute after Aiden Williams found the back of the net
- Mercer took a 3-2 lead in the 60th minute on a goal by Ousman Jabang, which was the first of three straight goals to end the game
