Rock Hill, S.C. – The Big South Conference announced its annual Men's Golf awards Monday afternoon as Winthrop garnered three honors.
 
Ryan Tattan was named All-Conference Honorable Mention after leading the Eagles in scoring at 73.96 in nine events. Most recently Tattan placed 9^th at the Big South Championship and helped the Eagles qualify for the Match Play portion of the championship. In 2021 Tattan was named to the All-Conference Team and also earned All-Championship Team honors.

During the regular season Tattan had his best finish at the Battle at Black Creek with a T18. He posted eight rounds of par or better and was the team's top finisher in five events. He posted a season-low 68 (4-under) in the second round of the Battle at Black Creek.

Matthew Hutto earned All-Freshman Team honors after a strong showing in his first collegiate season. Hutto averaged 76.38, the fourth best mark on the team. Hutto tied his collegiate-low 71 in the opening round of the Big South Championship, which he finished T26 in the end. He ended the year with four rounds of par or better and played in eight of the teams nine events.

Ian Faulconer was named to the Big South All-Academic Team. Faulconer is a junior seeking a degree in Sport Management and has been a member of the President's and Dean's List. He is a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC). This season Faulconer competed in six events, including the Big South Championship. His best finish was T57 at the Carolina Collegiate Invitational. He posted his collegiate-low of 74 in the second round of the event and matched that score once more in the first round of the Battle at Black Creek.
