Eagles Fall To Wofford Wednesday Night

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Winthrop baseball program fell to Wofford on the road Wednesday night.
 
The Eagles are 6-18 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Dillon Morton singled in the second inning with a bunt, but was unable to advance any further
  • Luke Hannum walked and advanced to second base on a wild pitch in the next frame, but the Eagles were unable to get him home
  • Wofford came back in the same inning with a two-run double and tacked on a third run on a throwing error
  • The Terriers scored on another throwing error in the bottom of the fourth
  • Winthrop got two men on base in the fifth, but the Eagles were unable to get either home
  • The Eagles had two men on again in the sixth, but a double play ended the inning
  • Khyree Miller homered in the seventh to get Winthrop within two runs
  • Winthrop was unable to get any men on base for the rest of the contest
