Eagles Fall To James Madison On Saturday

ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Winthrop baseball program lost to James Madison inside the Winthrop Ballpark Saturday afternoon.
 
The Eagles are 5-12 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • JMU got on the board with an RBI single in the top of the third inning
  • Khyree Miller matched the Dukes with a solo home run in the bottom of the frame
  • James Madison broke the tie with a bunt single in the top of the eighth
  • A single to center field two batters later scored another runner for a 3-1 lead
  • The Dukes then used a grand slam to take a commanding 7-1 lead
  • Winthrop was unable to get anything going afterwards, which provided the final margin
