WHAT HAPPENED
vs. Utah Valley
- With two away in the top of the first, Lauren King belted a homerun to center on the first pitch for the early lead
- Eagles pushed four runs across in the 3rd inning as Ashton Vanhouse set the table with a leadoff single
- With one out the Eagles loaded the bases as King plated Vanhouse on a sacrifice fly
- Macy McCall scored to make it 3-0 on a passed ball and then Bailey Warren hit a two-run shot to left center for a 5-0 lead
- Eagles tacked on two more in the fourth inning to lead 7-1
- The big hit came off the bat of Lauren Hutcherson as she had a two-run single up the middle
- Eagles made it 9-1 in the top of the sixth as McCall had an RBI double and Sydney Boulware had an RBI single
- Bella Roy tossed a complete game (6.0 innings) allowing one runs on five hits with two walks and six strikeouts
at Dixie State
- Trailing 2-0 heading to the bottom of the fourth, the Eagles tied the game King and Hutcherson had RBI singles
- Dixie State scored four in the top of the fifth and then added two more runs in the seventh
- Boulware started the game and tossed 4.2 innings allowing five runs (three earned) with four walks and seven strikeouts
- Winthrop matched Dixie State with eight hits in the game but stranded seven
EXTRA BASES
- On the day the Eagles were a combined 8-for-16 (.500) with runners in scoring position
- King has now reached safely in 10 straight games while McCall has a streak of nine straight
- Boulware picked up her first collegiate RBI with the single in 6th inning against Utah Valley
- McCall has 70 stolen bases in her career and is closing in on 100 career runs with (94)
- McCall also moved into a tied for 3rd on the Winthrop all-time stolen base list, now trailing the all-time leader by 17 (Charlene Smith, 71)

Eagles have two games on Sunday, Feb. 27 to wrap-up play at the Dixie State Tournament as they'll take on Utah Valley at noon and Dixie State at 2:30 p.m.
