Eagles Defeat Toccoa Falls For 19th Straight Home Win

Rock Hill, S.C. – Sin'Cere McMahon led five Eagles in double-figures as Winthrop captured its 19th straight home win after a 99-52 victory over Toccoa Falls, Tuesday evening inside the Winthrop Coliseum..

FIRST HALF
  • Eagles raced out to a 13-0 lead as Sin'Cere McMahon kicked things off with a short jumper in the paint
  • McMahon finished off the run by driving and dishing to Michael Moore for the dunk
  • Leading 22-6, the Eagles went on a 22-0 run over a seven minute span
  • The run started with a stick back from Cory Hightower and then Xavier McKelvy stole the ball and went the length of the court for the lay-in while being fouled and completed the three-point play
  • Eagles led 58-13 at the half as the Eagles shot 65 percent from the floor

SECOND HALF
  • Winthrop opened the second half on a 10-3 run
  • Toccoa Falls responded with a 7-0 run behind a couple of threes from Anthony Williams II
  • Cameron Whiteside led the Eagles offense in the second half with nine points while Toneari Lane and Kasen Harrison had seven
  • Eagles finished shooting 50 percent from the floor in the half
