Game Recap
- Eagles had a good chance to grab the first lead of the game in the 20th minute
- Kade McKenzie played a ball wide that was then flicked on by Patrick Bramlett to Sean Green running on and as he crossed into the 18 let one fly with his left foot that just missed the top left corner
- Wofford grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute when Nikolai Rojel was free in the box and cracked a shot that was saved by Gareth Shaw
- The rebound off the save by Shaw came straight out and Jackson Wrobel was there to tap the ball into the open net for the goal
- In the 43rd minute McKenzie drew a foul from about 30 yards out just off center from goal when he was brought down in the run of play
- McKenzie took the free kick and place a shot to the lower left corner that forced a diving save by Cameron Victor
- The Terriers took a 2-0 lead in the 50th minute when Nic Parker played a ball wide to Wrobel, who then played a ball across the goal mouth to Rojel making a run at the back post and he hammered a shot past Shaw
- The Eagles made it a one goal game in the 66th minute Ben Goodman's corner was headed into the top left corner by Jacob James
- Wofford regained its two-goal advantage in the 70th minute when Thaddeus Dennis headed home a cross from Brandon Oddy
- In the 78th minute off a free kick, Tyler Hornsby tested Victor with a shot toward the top left corner that Victor was forced to tip over for a corner
Notables
- Wofford finished with a 16-10 advantage in shots and 8-4 in shots on goal
- The Eagles finished with six corners while Wofford had four
- The goal by James was the first of his collegiate career
- The assist for Goodman was the fifth of his career
Looking Ahead
While this was the final home game of the season for the Eagles, they still have one more contest as they'll head to Clinton, S.C. to take on Presbyterian College on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m.
