High Point finished two good chances in the early going to take a 2-0 lead
- The first came in the 3rd minute as Emma Schossler collected a clear, played the ball wide and Marthina Aguirre served a ball to the back post that was headed home by Sam Gerhart
- In the 6th minute, Alex Deperno played a ball into the box from wide as Emily Mashinski went up with izzy Giarrizzi and redirected the ball into the net as they collided
- In the 24th minute, Bailey Fudala let a shot go from outside the 18 that just missed the lower left corner
- In the 56th minute, Mashinski collected a loose ball, created space off the dribble to her right and blasted a shot through traffic by Giarrizzi
Notables
- High Point had a 14-11 edge in shots and finished with a 6-2 advantage in shots on goal
- The Eagles finished with five corners while the Panthers had three
