Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop head softball coach Windy Thees announced the promotion of Jamie Morgan to Associate Head Coach.

Morgan receives the promotion after spending the last four seasons on staff as an assistant coach.

"Jamie has been an integral part of our developing culture here at Winthrop over our four seasons here together," said Thees, who is in her 5^th year at the helm of the softball program. "This past year Jamie took on almost all responsibilities while I battled a medical issue and has proven that she can handle all aspects of the Eagle Program. She has been committed to Winthrop and our players and program since day one."

Morgan was the first hire for Thees when she was named head coach in 2018. Morgan played softball for the University of Mississippi and graduated with a degree in psychology. In 2018 she also made the Israeli National Team.
