Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop freshman
Olivia Kemp has been named the Big South Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.
Kemp turned in the fastest tie by a Winthrop freshman since
Olivia Paxton (2016) and Jeanne Stroud (2010). Kemp finished 33
rd overall at the Royals Challenge in a time of 18:38.2 in her first collegiate 5K race.
This is the first women's cross country runner of the week since
Harper Henson on Oct. 10, 2018.
