  • In the 19th minute UNF took a 1-0 lead as Winthrop failed to clear a cross as Carmel Oliveira took the ball away from a Winthrop defender, turned and fired a shot past Izzy Giarrizzi from about 6-7 yards out
  • Eagles misplayed a clear off the head and UNF had a player with a 1v1 matchup on the keeper inside the box as Thais Reiss ripped a shot that was turned away by Giarrizzi, but the rebound came right back to Reiss and she slipped a second shot past a diving Giarrizzi for a two goal advantage

  • Following a goal kick by UNF, the Eagles applied pressure in the offensive third that paid off in the 58th minute
  • Winthrop forced a turnover out wide as Anna Kate Smith served the ball into the box, the ball redirected right to Alex Perez who buried a shot into the lower left corner
  • In the 73rd minute, Perez was wide on the right as she served a ball near post trying to connect with Valentina Mosquera, but the goalkeeper stepped in front to collect the ball
  • Another good chance in the 75th minute when a ball was played wide to Jessica Gengler who dribbled into the box, cut back on her left foot in open space fired a shot on goal but it was blocked and then cleared away
  • The Osprey took advantage of a Winthrop turnover in the 78th minute as Haynes Grant dribbled near the edge of the box and served a ball in front as Hannah Farmer was unmarked and scored on first touch around six yards out
