Rock Hill, S.C.— The Winthrop men's soccer team will wrap-up its season Thursday afternoon with a short trip down the road to take on Presbyterian College.

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST PRESBYTERIAN COLLEGE
Winthrop and Presbyterian College meet for the 23
rd time. The last two meetings have gone into double-overtime. The two teams met in the Big South Conference Tournament in 2019 and the Blue Hose earned a road win in the 103
rd minute. In the regular season meeting, which also took place on Eagle Field, the two teams played to a 1-1 draw as PC tied it up in the 84
th minute. Winthrop leads the all-time series 17-4-1 and won the first 17 meetings in the series before PC has won four of the five meetings since.
A GLANCE AT WINTHROP
Eagles are coming off a 1-0 home loss to Gardner-Webb on Mar. 31, as they have now dropped back-to-back games by one goal. Winthrop came out early and applied pressure to Gardner-Webb and created some good chances early but were unable to convert before giving up a goal on the counter in the 19
th minute. In the second half the offense continued to apply pressure and had a good chunk of the possession, but just couldn't connect in the final third. Freshman
Grayson Woodard leads the team in scoring with seven points (3g, 1a).
BIG SOUTH PRESEASON POLL
The Eagles were voted 7
th in the 2020-21 Big South Conference preseason poll. Campbell is the preseason favorite receiving five first-place votes while High Point is second, just six votes behind. Gardner-Webb was voted third followed by Presbyterian College, USC Upstate, Winthrop, Radford and UNC Asheville.
