ROCK HILL, S.C. – Winthrop lacrosse will welcome the Kennesaw State Owls to Eagle Field on Saturday, Mar. 6 for a 1 p.m. opening draw. These teams met in Winthrop's final contest of the shortened 2020 season with the Owls winning, 13-9 at home.

EAGLES AT A GLANCE
Winthrop is coming off a 14-11 win over the Mercer Bears on Saturday, Feb. 27.
The Eagles put up six unanswered goals to kick off the contest.
McKenna Blick led the team offensively with four goals and two assists.
Three other Eagles netted multiple goals in the win,
Bianca Tedesco (3),
Alyssa Angelo (2) and
Lauren Morris (2).
Lauren Asher,
Savanah Paton and
Molly Dankowski also scored.
Kimora Bailey was dominant on the draw control, winning seven and causing a turnover. Danowski, who transferred from Mercer, caused three turnovers, tied for the game-high.
SCOUTING KENNESAW STATE
Kennesaw State will come to Rock Hill in search of its first win of the 2021 season after dropping contests to Coastal Carolina (15-7) and No.6 Florida (20-7).
In their most recent loss to the Gators, the Owls were led by Siena Gore, who netted three goals, the only KSU player to record a multi-goal game. She also won four draw controls and two caused turnovers.
Marissa Gore, Julia Dellangelo, Chesslyn Lamar and Natalie Welch all netted goals against the Gators.
The Gore twins lead the Owls with 10 combined goals, six for Siena, four for Marissa.
The Owls were selected to finish third in the ASUN preseason poll.
ALL-TIME KENNESAW STATE
The Eagles and Owls have met five times prior to Saturday's contest. Winthrop currently holds a 3-2 all-time record.

The Eagles will hit the road for the first time this season when they travel to Macon, G.A. to take on the Mercer Bears. Winthrop just hosted the Bears in Rock Hill, winning 14-11.
