SERIES HISTORY AGAINST RADFORD
This is the 40^th meeting all-time between the Eagles and Highlanders. The series is tight with the Highlanders holding an 18-17-4 edge in the series. The Eagles won the last meeting 2-1 in overtime on a impressive strike from Marc Carreras in the 97^th minute. Winthrop tied the match in the 90^th minute on a penalty converted by Carreras. Radford has won three of the last four meetings and won 3-1 the last time the teams faced off at Patrick D. Cupp Stadium.
 
A GLANCE AT WINTHROP
Eagles still searching for their first win of the season and coming off a 4-1 home loss to USC Upstate. Bryan Jimenez-Pearce scored the lone goal for the Eagles and becomes the fourth different goal scorer for Winthrop this season.     
 
BIG SOUTH PRESEASON POLL
The Eagles were voted 7^th in the 2020-21 Big South Conference preseason poll. Campbell is the preseason favorite receiving five first-place votes while High Point is second, just six votes behind. Gardner-Webb was voted third followed by Presbyterian College, USC Upstate, Winthrop, Radford and UNC Asheville.
 
WHAT'S AHEAD
Winthrop will head home and face High Point in the first of three consecutive home games. The Eagles will host the nationally-ranked Panthers on Wednesday, Mar. 17 at 7 p.m. on Eagle Field.
