ROCK HILL, SC – The Eagles fell to Campbell in three sets Saturday evening, 25-18, 25-18, 25-16.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In Set 1 the Eagles jumped out to a 6-2 lead over the Camels. The visiting team tied the match up at eight apiece off a Chloe Cook kill and eventually took a 9-8 lead behind a 5-0 run. The Eagles would keep things close but six straight points to close out the first set gave Campbell the 25-18 win.
After back-to-back points for the Camels to open Set 2, Winthrop responded with four consecutive points to take an early 4-2 lead. The Camels would go on a 4-0 run of their own to grab a 7-5 lead, that they would never lose. The Eagles came clawing back, cutting Campbell's lead to just six but the Camels would ultimately win the match 25-18.
Campbell struck first in Set 3, posting back-to-back-to-back points to take a 3-0 lead. Winthrop tied things up at four apiece off a
Morgan Bossler kill. A 5-0 run for Campbell broken up by a Winthrop point, followed by another 6-0 run gave the Camels a commanding 10-point lead, 19-9. They would win the match, 25-16.
