Game Recap
- Campbell took the lead in the 19th minute on a goal by Matt Lock
- Lock's header at the back post skimmed off the post and by Sam Jones who looked like he had it covered but couldn't stop the redirection
- In the 35th minute, Sam Jones kept it a one goal game as Jake Morris had a good look on goal as Jones just got enough of it to deflect it wide for a corner
- The Camels scored two goals within four minutes to build its lead to 3-0
- The first came in the 53rd minute when the Camels were awarded a penalty and Frank Momo converted
- The next goal came in the 57th minute when Jalen James was set up by Jake Morris and James curled the ball around Jones for a 3-0 lead
- In the 66th minute, James let one go from the edge of the 18 that hit the crossbar, then post and into the net for his second of the game
- Campbell finished the game with a 19-2 advantage in shots and 14-2 in corners
Looking Ahead
Winthrop remains on the road as it will head to Asheville on Sunday, Feb. 28 to take on UNC Asheville at 2 p.m.
